Cloud Solutions from Microsoft, Google, and Amazon

Microsoft has quietly grown the Windows and SQL Azure platforms to $1 Billion+ per year in revenue .  While Amazon is about 5 years ahead of Microsoft and has about $3 Billion per year in revenue, Microsoft continues to quietly grow the cloud models.  Google continues to evolve the ad platform and will focus on Apple.  Google is interesting in that the cloud models it provides remains with Google Drive and Sites.
Microsoft now offers virtual machines in both Linux and Microsoft OS platforms and allows many websites to launch on the platform.  In essence, the platform allows for many startups to scale out and up easily.  The platform evolved and transformed in just the last year and is evolving quickly.  Office365 and Skype will cycle as will outlook.com.  The cloud vision is building out nicely.
Amazon is most likely going to spin out the AWS platform as an IPO given the growth.  This is aligned with what VWWARE has done in the past.  While it is noble and respected that Amazon has diversified, Amazon will continue to focus on the publishing and retail platform offerings.
Google is really an unknown in regards to the strategy for Cloud.  The services are being offered but the driver for Google remains ads.  Ads are the lifeblood of the company and most strategies will leverage this model.
So, in sunny Denver, the Cloud models are very promising and will benefit consumers and businesses.
