Got Robots? - Robotic Olympiad is coming to Denver, CO - Re-Publishing

The robots are coming.

Every year, a bunch of kids numbering about 3,000 converges on a city in the world to compete in the Robotic Olympiad.  Well, this year, the venue will be Denver, Colorado during the magical winter season of Dec. 16th till about the 19th.

The ages for kids can range from 7 up through about 18 so there are plenty of options to compete and have fun in the STEAM experience.  The 'A' in STEAM stands for the Arts.

What exactly is it?  Well, Ameribotics is the official US-based non-profit charged with planning and executing the event for this year.  After 15 years, the event is being held in the United States.    The kids from around the world will be converging on Denver in December and a lot of the kids are very excited to see the USA.

To give you an idea on the global nature of the event, about 25 - 30 countries are participating.  So far, South Korea is sending between 300 - 500 kids and China is sending between 100 - 200 kids.

We are raising awareness and performing fund raising to put this event on.  Some of the information is at - Facebook IROC Site and the web site is launching next week - Official Website for IROC 2013 (Pardon the initial page...Work in progress)

The theme for this year is: Robotics in Agriculture and here is a video by Sam who is 15 that gives a concept.  He created the video and produced it.  - Robots in Agriculture
